The Genesis of Pure_Genius

Here be the collaborative journal of two cracked-and-loving-it fanfiction writers - You may have heard of us - Emaniahilel and Kysra.

*preens*

No, no. Do not think us mired by conceit. The title of this journal came directly from a reviewer of our work. Besides, we would be nothing without our Muses, Puck and Lillith respectively. They are the true stars of this outfit.

We'll introduce them formerly sometime in the near future; and since it's all about the Muses anyway, our eventual layout will feature them prominently.

Now, where were we before the Muses hijacked my brain? Ah yes . . .

Though we both belong to a multitude of different fandoms, Em and I first became acquainted with each other's work in 2005 through Teen Titans fanfiction. Since then we have betaed, critiqued, and debated over each other's stories and plans; taken a few "research" trips together; swapped ideas and inspiration; and - recently - began to work collaboratively on several projects.

One of those projects needed its own home, so here we are ^_^

Star Wars: The Shadow and the Flame

I . . . am a Star Wars Geek. I admit it. Em also has a soft spot for that shining epic, and after seeing a small one-panel comic I had drawn featuring the Jedi/Sith personas of myself and several other lj pals, she requested one for herself - a reformed Sith who was (courtesy of one of those neat-o "What is Your Star Wars Name?" memes) eventually dubbed Leihm Fimia.

Through a series of cracky phone calls and comics, Fimia and my own Jedi counterpart, Sancha formed full and distinct characteristics and personalities, and though we finally decided to do a few crackilicious shorts featuring them, the two teamed up with our Muses to form a full and somewhat dramatic epic of their own within the Star Wars universe.

Soon we will have a complete summary and text trailer and a dramatis personae up in LINKS; not to mention - art, comics, outtakes, and straight up fan-crack.

NOTE: This is NOT an RP. At least, not a strict RP. There is SOME Roleplaying involved, but mostly it's a fanfiction that takes place in the Star Wars, Episode II-III universe and involves made-up periphery characters.

And no, neither Fimia or Sancha are mary-sues. They don't meet Anakin, Obi Won, or any of the major players either.

Summary: “...when she awoke with the general overall feeling that something was wrong but couldn't quite place what...no one....would be at all surprised to learn that she did absolutely nothing to find out what the wrong thing might be.”

Go Meat!

Summary: Cyborg never paid that much attention to the television even if it was a program like Monster Cars playing. Total Crackfic.
